Mount Laurel Man Pleads Guilty In 2024 Hammonton Robbery

HAMMONTON, NJ.- On Thursday, April 3, 2025, Patrick Herrschaft, 54, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Bernard E. DeLury, Jr., to first-degree Robbery.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, in return for the guilty plea, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office will be recommending that Herrschaft be sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act, which will require Herrschaft to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole. In addition, Herrschaft will be required an additional term of parole supervision.
On February 24, 2024, a male victim was sitting in his car in the parking lot of the Goodwill in Hammonton, New Jersey, when Herrschaft approached him and asked him for a ride to Camden, New Jersey.
When the man refused, Herrschaft proceeded to enter his vehicle and started to drive off. When the man attempted to stop him, Herrschaft proceeded to forcibly push the man out of his vehicle, at which time Herrschaft drove off. Following notifying the Police and providing a description of Herrschaft, Police Officers later recovered the vehicle in Camden County, New Jersey. Herrschaft was later located and taken into custody.
