CAMDEN, NJ.- On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, following an internet child pornography investigation, a 58-year-old Camden, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with allegedly possessing child sexual abuse material.

According to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay, Candido Munoz, 58, of Camden, was formally charged on Wednesday with one count of third-degree Possession of Child Pornography. If convicted at trial, Munoz faces up to five years in New Jersey State Prison.

The charge stems from an investigation that began when Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an individual who was utilizing the internet to upload digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children to a Google account.

During the investigation, Detectives were able to identify Munoz as the user of a cellular phone linked to the specific Google account.
