Jersey City Man Remains Hospitalized After Being Struck By Vehicle

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- Today, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reported that Detectives of the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are continuing the investigation into a hit-and-run that occurred early Monday morning in Jersey City that critically injured a pedestrian.

     On Monday, April 7, 2025, shortly around 1:00 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a pedestrian that had been struck by a motor vehicle in the area of Bay and Erie Streets in Jersey City.

Police Officers Find Man Critically Injured

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, identified as a 37-year-old Jersey City, New Jersey man, in the roadway, having sustained serious injuries resulting from being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The man was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue the search for the vehicle and driver.
