Allendale Massage Therapist Facing Additional Sex Crime Charges

ALLENDALE, NJ.- On Monday, April 7, 2025, following an ongoing investigation, a 35-year-old Teaneck, New Jersey, man employed as a masseur at an Allendale, New Jersey spa was additionally charged with additional counts of criminal sexual contact on an additional female client.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, as first reported on March 15, 2025, the Allendale Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault that occurred early that day at the Hand and Stone Spa in Allendale, New Jersey.
During a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allendale Police Department, Detectives quickly determined that Dequan Cedeno, 35, of Teaneck, sexually assaulted a female client while performing a massage at the Allendale spa.
Accordingly, on March 15, 2025, Cedeno was taken into custody and formally charged with Sexual Assault; and Criminal Sexual Contact. At that time, Cedeno was processed on the charges and remanded to the Bergen County Jail. Following his first appearance, a Bergen County Superior Court Judge ordered Cedeno to be released on bail conditions pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
During The Ongoing Investigation, Detectives Uncover Additional Sex Crimes
During the ongoing investigation, Detectives subsequently determined that Cedeno had also committed acts of criminal sexual contact on a second female client while performing a massage on February 19, 2025, at the Allendale spa.
Accordingly, on Monday, April 7, 2025, Cedeno was taken into custody and formally charged with three counts of fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact. Cedeno was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
