Huntington Man Pleads Guilty To Distribution Of Fentanyl

HUNTINGTON, W.VA.- On Monday, April 7, 2025, Robert Lee Glover, also known as “Chopz,” 43, of Huntington, West Virginia, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Robert C. Chambers to Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl.
Following entering his guilty plea on Monday, Judge Chambers accepted his plea and scheduled sentencing for July 28, 2025. At that time, Glover faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a $1 million fine. At sentencing, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offense and Glover’s prior criminal history.
According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa G. Johnston and charging information filed with the District Court, on June 10, 2024, during an ongoing narcotics investigation, Glover sold around 14.6 grams of fentanyl to a confidential informant in exchange for $1,000 from a Mount Union Road residence in Huntington, West Virginia. The transaction was observed and recorded by law enforcement investigators.
During Monday’s plea allocution, Glover admitted to the transaction and arranged the sale beforehand. Glover further admitted to selling 18.27 grams of a substance containing a mixture of fentanyl and xylazine, a veterinary tranquilizer also known as “Tranq,” to the confidential informant at the same residence on June 27, 2024.
Acting U.S. Attorney Johnston commended the investigative work of the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the investigation and arrest, resulting in Glover’s guilty plea on Monday.
