Schenectady Man Pleads Guilty To Conspiring To Distribute Meth Pills

ALBANY, NY.- U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone, III, reported that on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Christopher Gil, 48, of Schenectady, New York, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Counterfeit Adderall Pills.

     During his plea allocution on Wednesday, Gil admitted to distributing hundreds of counterfeit Adderall pills containing methamphetamine on three occasions in 2024 within the Northern District of New York. Gil further admitted that he coordinated with his methamphetamine supplier to distribute additional quantities of the pills.

Gil Is Scheduled To Be Sentenced In August 2025

     Following entering his guilty plea on Wednesday, a U.S. District Court Judge accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for August 7, 2025. At that time, Gil faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison, at least three years and up to life of supervised release, and a $1 million fine, or both.

     At the time of sentencing, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offense and Gil’s prior criminal history, if any.
