Police Searching For Suspect In Thursday Night Stabbing Death

WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are continuing the investigation and searching for the suspect wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing that occurred late Thursday night in Southeast, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, shortly before 11:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an unconscious man on the 1600 Block of V Street in Southeast, D.C.

Police Officers Find Man Stabbed Multiple Times

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Michael Alanzo Jackson, 31, unresponsive from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services immediately transported Mr. Jackson to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Jackson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
