Man Fatally Gunned Down Friday In Southeast D.C. Triple Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- Police are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of an 18-year-old Southeast, D.C. man that occurred Friday afternoon in Southeast, D.C.
According to D.C. Metroploitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Friday, April 18, 2025, just shortly before 12:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting gunfire on the 1300 Block of Savannah Place in Southeast, D.C.
Police Find Man Shot Dead
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified Christopher Daniels, 18, of Southeast, D.C., unresponsive in the rear on the 1300 Block of Congress Street, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded and pronounced Mr. Daniels deceased at the scene.
Police Learn Of Two Additional Shooting Victims
While on scene, Police Officers learned that a man and a teen boy had arrived at a nearby hospital, both seeking treatment for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. During the initial investigation, Police Officers and Detectives determined that the man and teen boy were struck by gunfire during that same shooting that claimed the life of Mr. Daniels.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time as Detectives continue their investigation.
