Bradford County Man Sentenced For Production Of Child Pornography

WILLIAMSPORT, PA.- Last Tuesday, a 29-year-old Bradford County, Pennsylvania, man learned he would be spending nearly the next twenty-five years of his life in federal prison after being sentenced for enticing two young children to send him sexually explicit photos of themselves so he could create child pornography.
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Benjamin Wheeler, 29, of Bradford County, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Matthew W. Brann to 292 months in federal prison, to be followed by ten years of supervised release on his conviction of Production of Child Pornography.
According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office
According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and charging documents filed with the District Court, during the summer months of 2022, Wheeler coerced and enticed two children online to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing digital images of child pornography on four separate occasions beginning in June 2022 through July 2022.
Acting U.S. Attorney Gurganus commended the investigative work of the Pennsylvania State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the successful prosecution of Wheeler.
