Caudle’s online conversations with the child were sexual in nature despite the child informing him that they were only 14 years old. Caudle even expressed being nervous about ending up on the show “To Catch a Predator” but continued telling the child of his desire to have sex with them.
On May 26, 2023, Caudle drove from Louisiana to meet and have sex with the child in Toms River, New Jersey. The following day, on May 27, 2023, Caudle, in fact, committed sexual acts on the child. Later that night, Caudle left New Jersey and drove back to Louisiana,
Ocean County Law Enforcement Learn Of The Sexual Encounter
Ocean County law enforcement officials became aware of Caudle’s unlawful sexual activity with the child and launched an investigation. In June 2023, the Enforcement investigator assumed the child’s online and cellular presence and began communicating with Claudle. During these conversations, Claudle confirmed his prior sexual acts with the child and expressed a desire for further sexual activity.
While communicating with the undercover investigator, Caudle made plans to return to New Jersey to commit additional sexual acts with the child.
On June 16, 2023, Caudle flew from Louisiana to New Jersey, and upon debarking the plane at Newark Liberty International Airport, Caudle was immediately taken into custody by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
