Police Charge Man In August 2024 Stabbing Investigation

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Thursday, a 33-year-old Northwest, D.C., man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the near stabbing death of a man that occurred in Northwest, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, shortly after 12:45 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an unresponsive man on the 200 Block of W Street in Northwest, D.C.

Police Officers Find Man Brutally Stabbed

     Upon arrival, Police Officers and First Responders located a man lying on the ground, unresponsive, suffering from a stab wound. The man was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital for treatment for life-threatening injuries, where he has since recovered.

     During the subsequent investigation, Detectives identified the suspect as Bryan Wilson, 33, of Northwest, D.C., and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

     On Thursday, May 1, 2025, Detectives, with the assistance of members of the DC Housing Authority Police Department, located and arrested Wilson and formally charged him with one count of Assault With Intent to Kill. Wilson was processed on the charge and was remanded to the DC Central Detention Facility, pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
