Piscataway Township Police Officer Charged With Child Sex Crimes

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ.- On Thursday, a 37-year-old Hamilton, New Jersey, man who is employed as a Piscataway Township Police Officer was taken into custody and charged in connection with allegedly committing sex crimes inside a South Plainfield, New Jersey store involving young girls.
According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, an investigation was launched into allegations regarding a man who had been following young girls, including a child, around a store in South Plainfield, New Jersey, with a clearly visible erection. Some of the bizarre conduct was captured on the store’s video surveillance.
Investigation Uncovers Child Sex Crimes
The investigation uncovered that the man engaged in the same behavior in another South Plainfield store. During the investigation, the man was identified as Wesley Kliwinski, 37, a Piscataway Township Police Officer who resides in Hamilton, New Jersey.
Accordingly, following the culmination of the investigation, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, Kliwinski was taken into custody and formally charged with third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Engaging in Sexual Conduct; fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact; and a Disorderly Persons Offense of Harassment.
Kliwinski was processed on the charges and remanded to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center. Following his first appearance in Middlesex County Superior Court, he was released on bail monitor conditions pending future court appearances. It is unclear Kliwinski’s employment status with the Piscataway Township Police Department.
