CLEVELAND, OH.- A 25-year-old Beachwood, Ohio, woman is facing up to fifty years in federal prison after being formally indicted for sexually exploiting and abusing two toddlers in her care, creating digital images and video files of the abuse of the children, and using her cell phone to send the images to others.

On Friday, May 2, 2025, a Federal Grand Jury for the Northern District of Ohio returned a four-count indictment charging Molly Elisabeth Duncan, 25, of Beachwood, Ohio, on the charges of two counts of Sexual Exploitation of Child; Distribution of Child Pornography; and Possession of Child Pornography.

According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Carol M. Skutnik and charging information unsealed in the indictment. It is alleged that beginning in November 2023 and lasting through March 2024, Duncan engaged in the sexual exploitation of a child, victim 1, for the purpose of producing child pornography to distribute to others. Then, from April 2024 through July 2024, Duncan engaged in the sexual exploitation of a second child, victim 2, for the purpose of producing child pornography to send to others.

Duncan is also alleged to have used her cellular phone to send digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of the children to others over the internet.

According to the affidavit filed in the April 4, 2025, criminal complaint, Duncan was a nanny to two toddler-aged children and was alleged to have produced child pornography in their homes located within the Northern District of Ohio. During a forensic examination of Duncan’s cellular phone, investigators uncovered multiple digital images and video files.

If convicted at trial, Duncan faces up to 30 years in federal prison on each of the sexual exploitation of a child and up to 20 years in federal prison on the distribution and possession of child pornography. Upon a finding of guilt, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Duncan’s prior criminal history, if any.
