Friday, May 9, 2025, 6:45 A.M. ET. 2 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

MILLVILLE, NJ.- Last Friday, May 2, 2025, following an investigation, a 30-year-old Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with an apparent domestic dispute that ended with the alleged shooting death of a 36-year-old woman, and mother of three that occurred on November 9, 2024, at a Millville, New Jersey Park.

According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, on Friday, Kirk E. Williams, 30, of Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, was formally charged with first-degree Murder; second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose; second-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons; and Tampering with Evidence, for the fatal shooting of Teaoshia Still, 36, of Millville, New Jersey.

Williams was processed on the charges and remanded to the Cumberland County Jail pending future court proceedings in Cumberland County Superior Court. The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion with the court to detain Williams pending trial, which has been tentatively scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025.

Charges Result From Investigation

The charges stem from an investigation that began on November 9, 2024, when just shortly after 5:00 a.m., members of the Millville Police Department responded to Waltman City Park in the City after receiving a 911 Emergency Call from a jogger who had found a woman lying on the ground with head injuries. Upon arrival, Police Officers found Ms. Still deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

During a nearly six-month investigation, Detectives of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and the Millville Police Department determined that Ms. Still met with Williams at the Waltman City Park during the evening hours to deliver some of his belongings when Williams allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot her multiple time resulting in her death. It is further alleged that Williams was in possession of some of Ms. Still’s personal belongings.
