Police Continue To Search For Suspects In May 1st Northeast D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on May 1, 2025, when the suspects opened fire next to a schoolyard in Northeast D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, just shortly before 4:30 p.m., the suspects were in the parking lot of a school located on the 700 Block of 26th Street in Northeast, D.C., when they pulled out handguns and open fire towards a victim who was standing next to the school.
The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. No injuries or damage to the school were reported.
Police recovered area video surveillance, which captured the suspects, as seen in the above video.
