Police Asking For Public’s Help In Locating Suspect Wanted For Assault

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for last month’s assault in Northwest, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, shortly after 11:30 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District responded to investigate an incident that had occurred on the 1000 Block of H Street in Northwest, D.C.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers learned that an unknown man had approached and attacked the victim before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. The victim sustained injuries in the attack and was transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital for treatment.

     During the ensuing investigation, Detectives recovered surveillance camera footage that captured the suspect, which can be seen in the above photo.
