BUFFALO, NY.- On Thursday, May 8, 2025, Brandon G. Uber, 24, of Jamestown, New York, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard J Arcara to 210 months in federal prison on his conviction of Distribution of Child Pornography.
According to U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo and charging documents filed with the District Court, in March 2021, Uber sent a Snapchat user digital images and video files of a 16-year-old girl engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Uber also received digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children from other users of social media application platforms. In addition, Uber had engaged in online sexually explicit conversations with another minor girl, during which he coerced, enticed, and persuaded the child to create sexually explicit videos of herself to send to him.
Uber Stored His Child Pornography On Electronic Devices
Uber stored the digital images and video files of the child pornography he received and distributed on various electronic devices, including two cellular phones and two tablets.
During the investigation, law enforcement investigators executed a court-authorized search warrant at Uber’s Jamestown, New York residence. During the search, investigators seized the electronic devices, and a subsequent forensic examination of the devices uncovered numerous digital images and video files of child pornography.
In handing down the sentence on Thursday, in addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Arcara ordered Uber to serve a term of supervised release and, upon completion of his imprisonment, to register as a sex offender in the national database.
