Brick Township Man Pleads Guilty To Possession Of Child Pornography

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ.- A 42-year-old Brick Township, New Jersey, man currently jailed on a parole violation will be spending five years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty on Friday to a child pornography offense.

     According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on Friday, May 9, 2025, Dennis Hubert, 42, of Brick Township, New Jersey, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and pleaded guilty to one count of Possession of Child Pornography. In return for the guilty plea, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Hubert be sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison,

Charge Stems From Investigation

     The charge and Friday’s guilty plea stem from an investigation that began when members of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office received a referral from the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. After the Task Force received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an individual in the Ocean County, New Jersey, area who was utilizing the internet to send and receive digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.

     During a subsequent investigation, Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit were able to identify an IP address associated with a Brick Township residence as the location from which the individual was accessing the internet for child pornography. Further investigation resulted in Hubert being identified.

Law Enforcement Executes Search Warrant And Finds Child Porn

     On October 24, 2024, Investigators of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigation, and the Brick Township Police Department obtained and executed a court-authorized search warrant at Hubert’s Brick Township residence. During an initial forensic examination of Hubert’s electronic devices uncovered numerous digital images and video files of child pornography.

     During the search, Hubert was taken into custody and charged. After being processed on the charges, Hubert was remanded to the Ocean County Jail. He is currently lodged in New Jersey State Prison for a violation of his parole in an unrelated case.
