Teen Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire Sunday Night In Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives are continuing the investigation into the shooting of a 16-year-old boy who was struck by gunfire late Sunday evening in the City of Paterson, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, May 11, 2025, just shortly before 11:00 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Madison and 2nd Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Police Officers Find Teenage Boy Shot Multiple Times
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a teenage boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The teen was immediately transported by Paterson Fire and Emergency Medical Services to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The teen’s condition is unknown at this time.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue their search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
