Police Searching For Person Of Interest In Early Sunday Morning Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is continuing the investigation into the shooting of two women early Sunday morning in Northwest D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Sunday, May 11, 2025, just shortly before 3:30 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s First District responded to a report of gunfire on the 600 Block of H Street in Northwest, D.C.

Police Officers Later Learn Two Women Shot

     Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting crime scene but were unable to find a victim or victims. A short time later, while on scene, Police Officers were notified that two women had arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

     During the initial investigation, and following interviewing the two female victims, Detectives and Police Officers determined that the two women were struck by gunfire on the 600 Block of H Street in Northwest, D.C.

     During the ensuing investigation, Detectives recovered video surveillance footage that captured a person of interest, which can be seen in the above photo.
