Hancock County Man Pleads Guilty To Methamphetamine Trafficking

WHEELING, W.VA.- A 40-year-old Colliers, West Virginia, man is facing up to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty earlier today to distributing quantities of methamphetamine throughout the Hancock, West Virginia, area.

     Today, May 14, 2025, Lawrence James Reagan, also known as “Larry,” 40, of Colliers, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge James P. Mazzone to one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine.

     Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Mazzone accepted the plea and deferred sentencing for a date and time to be determined by the District Court. At sentencing, Reagan faces up to 20 years in federal prison, at least three years of supervised release, and up to a $1 million fine. When sentenced, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offense and Reagan’s prior criminal history.

     According to Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard and charging documents filed with the District Court, during an ongoing investigation into the distribution of illicit narcotics within the Northern District of West Virginia. Law enforcement investigators identified as part of an interstate drug trafficking organization.

     At the culmination of the investigation, Reagan was 26 individuals charged in a federal indictment with narcotics violations.

     Acting to U.S. Attorney Bernard commended the investigative work of the Hancock/Brooke/Weirton Drug Task Force.
