Hamilton Man Fatally Stabbed Wednesday Night In The City Of Trenton

TRENTON, NJ.- Detectives of the Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are continuing the investigation into the fatal stabbing of a 48-year-old Hamilton, New Jersey, man that occurred Wednesday evening in New Jersey’s Capital City.
According to Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, just shortly after 7:00 p.m., members of the Trenton Police Department responded to Capital Health Regional Medical Center after being notified that a man, later identified as Jermaine Scott, 48, of Hamilton, New Jersey had arrived by private vehicle at the Medical Center seeking treatment for a stab wound to his abdomen.
Mr. Scott Dies From Injuries
Mr. Scott was rushed into surgery, where, despite life-saving efforts by doctors, Mr. Hamilton succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made, as Detectives continue the search for the suspect and a motive for the stabbing.
