Man Fatally Gunned Down Wednesday Night In Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 32-year-old Southeast, D.C., man became the latest victim to fall prey to the continuing gun violence plaguing the Nation’s Capitol City after he was fatally gunned down late Wednesday evening on a Southeast, D.C. street.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, shortly before 11:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to reports of gunfire on the 2400 Block of Elvans Road in Southeast, D.C.
Police Find Young Man Shot Dead On The Street
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Ricky Jones, 32, of Southeast, D.C., on the ground, having succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Jones was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue the search for the gunman.
