Teen Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire In The City Of Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- Police are continuing the search for the gunman who opened fire early Sunday morning in the City of Passaic, which left a 17-year-old victim hospitalized from multiple gunshot wounds.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, May 18, 2025, shortly before 1:30 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting in the area of Eighth and Passaic Streets in the City of Passaic.

Police Officers Find Teenager Shot Multiple Times

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 17-year-old victim suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The teenager was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, for treatment. The teen’s condition is unknown at this time. Police were also able to locate evidence of a shooting crime scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the suspect and a motive for the shooting.
