Police Continue The Investigation Into Two Funfire Incidents In Phillipsburg

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ.- Police are continuing the investigation into two gunfire incidents that occurred Thursday night in the Town of Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
According to Acting Warren County Prosecutor Jessica L. Cardone, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, shortly around 8:00 p.m., members of the Phillipsburg Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire at 152 Broad Street and 9 Memorial Parkway in the Town of Phillipsburg.
Police Officers Find Evidence Of Shooting Crime Scenes
Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of shots being fired at both locations. During the initial investigation, Responding Police Officers could not locate any victims or property damage at the locations.
Further investigation by Detectives determined the shooting incidents were unrelated to the stabbing death of Haddiyah Peggins, 26, a mother of a 4-year-old daughter. Ms. Peggins was found by her sister in the backyard of their Anderson Street home in Phillipsburg and later died from her injuries at a local hospital.
