One Dead, One Injured In South Plainfield Double Stabbing

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ.- A 38-year-old Somerset County, New Jersey, man was killed, and a 32-year-old South Plainfield, New Jersey, woman was hospitalized in an early Monday morning double stabbing inside a South Plainfield, New Jersey home.
According to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, on Monday, May 19, 2025, just shortly before 2:00 a.m., members of the South Plainfield Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a stabbing at Tooz Place residence in South Plainfield.
Police Officers Find Man Dead, Woman Injured
Upon arrival, Police Officers found Brandon Andrews-Cruz, 38, of Raritan, New Jersey, having succumbed to stab wounds and a 32-year-old South Plainfield, New Jersey, woman suffering from stab wounds. The woman was immediately transported to an area hospital, where she was being treated for her injuries. Andrews-Cruz was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbings.
