Hagerstown Man Sentenced For Drug Trafficking In Eastern Panhandle

CLARKSBURG, W.VA.- On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Juan Manuel De La Rosa-Tejeda, 39, of Hagerstown, Maryland, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Thomas S. Kleeh to 121 months in federal prison, to be followed by a term of supervised release for his role as a leader in an Eastern Panhandle drug trafficking organization. 

     De La Rosa-Tejeda had previously appeared in Federal Court in Clarksburg, West Virginia, and pleaded guilty to one count of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Cocaine.

According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office

     According to Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard and charging documents filed with the District Court, during an interstate drug trafficking conspiracy, De La Rosa-Tejeda was identified as one of the leaders of a drug trafficking organization that was responsible for selling large quantities of fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine throughout the Berkeley County, West Virginia area, and elsewhere in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.

     The drug trafficking organization operated and used a business in Hagerstown, Maryland, Top 3 Source Appliances, as a central hub for the sales and distribution of the illicit narcotics. During the execution of a court-authorized search warrant at De La Rosa-Tejeda’s home, Investigators located and seized $121,670 in U.S. currency. During a search of Top 3 Sources Appliances, Investigators recovered and seized nearly nine kilograms of cocaine and over a kilogram of heroin.
