MILLVILLE, NJ.- On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, and Thursday, May 22, 2025, three Millville, New Jersey, teenagers were taken into custody and formally charged in connection with the shooting death of a juvenile who was found shot inside his car Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Millville, New Jersey.

According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, all three juveniles were respectively charged with first-degree Felony Murder; first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter; first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery; first-degree Robbery; and three third-degree and a fourth-degree related Weapons Offenses.

All three were processed on the charges and were remanded to the custody of the Cumberland County Juvenile Detention Center, pending future court proceedings in Cumberland County Superior Court Family Law Division in Bridgeton, New Jersey.

Charges Are A Result Of An Investigation

The charges stem from an investigation that began on Saturday, May 17, 2025, when members of the Millville Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a motor vehicle crash on the 900 Block of Church Street in the City of Millville. Upon arrival, Police Officers located the crash and learned that the juvenile driver had been shot once and subsequently crashed his vehicle. The teen was transported to Vineland Inspira Hospital, where he succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased around 10:00 p.m., Saturday evening.

During the ensuing investigation, Detectives of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and the Millville Police Department recovered area video surveillance footage that revealed that two of the juvenile defendants encountered the victim prior to his death and returned to a Millville residence where the third juvenile defendant resided. Investigators learned that one of the juveniles had been in contact with the victim prior to his death and told the victim to meet the other two juvenile defendants in the City of Millville.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Detective Robert Vit of the Millville Police Department at (856) 825-7010 or Detective William Parker, III of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office at (856) 453-0486. All calls and information will be kept confidential.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and as in adult criminal cases, a juvenile defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
