Three Teens Gunned Down, Two Fatally On Friday Night In Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- Three Southeast, D.C. teens became the latest victims of violence in the Nation’s Capitol City after they were gunned down, two fatally, after gunfire erupted late Friday night on a Southeast, D.C. street.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Friday, May 23, 2025, just shortly after 10:15 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to reports of gunfire with injuries on the 4200 Block of 4th Street in Southeast, D.C.
Police Find Three Teens Shot, Two Dead
Upon arrival, Police Officers and First Responders located three male teenagers lying in the roadway, all suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, where, despite life-saving measures, two of the teens, Royell Walker, 16, and Jamar Jackson, 19, both of Southeast, D.C., succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. The third victim, a 14-year-old boy, was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Case Squad continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
