Park Ridge Man Charged With Casting Multiple Votes In Another’s Name

PARK RIDGE, NJ.- Today, May 27, 2025, following an investigation, a 69-year-old Park Ridge, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and charged in connection with alleged voter fraud.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on March 4, 2025, Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Confidential Investigations Unit received a report from the Bergen County Board of Elections regarding alleged voting offenses by a Bergen County, New Jersey resident.
Detectives Uncover Voter Fraud
During a nearly three-month investigation, Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office determined that between September 2020 and November 2024, Bruce E. Behringer, 69, of Park Ridge, New Jersey, falsely completed one New Jersey Voter Registration Application and three mail-in voter ballots in the name of another person.
Accordingly, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Behringer was taken into custody and formally charged with one count of third-degree Tampering with Public Records or Information; third-degree False Registration; and third-degree Attempting to Cast an Illegal Vote.
Behringer was processed on the charges and was released on a summons complaint, pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
