Honduran Man Wanted For Shooting Death Of Trenton, New Jersey Man

TRENTON, NJ.- Today, May 28, 2025, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey and Detectives of The Mercer County Homicide Task Force are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Alfonso Inestroza, also known as “Franquin Inestroza-Martinez,” 30, a Honduran national residing in Trenton, New Jersey for the March 17, 2025, shooting death of a 55-year-old Trenton, New Jersey man.

     According to Prosecutor Marbrey, on Monday, March 17, 2025, members of the Trenton Police Department responded to a report of gunfire and bullet holes in a residence located on the 300 Block of Dayton Street in the City of Trenton.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found gunfire damage to the home and learned that the shots were fired from an attached house. Upon entry into the Dayton Street residence, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Esteban Vicente Sacalxot, 55, of Trenton, New Jersey, unresponsive inside the residence, having succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Mr. Sacalxot was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives Identify Inestroza As The Suspect

     During the ensuing investigation, Detectives were able to identify Inestroza as the suspect and the individual responsible for the death of Mr. Sacalxot, and warrants were issued for his arrest. The U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force is actively searching for Inestroza.

     Inestroza is identified as a Honduran national and is last known to be residing in Trenton, New Jersey. He is 30 years of age, 5’3″ in height, and weighs approximately 135 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, which can be seen in the above photos.
