Essex County Woman Pleads Guilty To Federal Drug Offenses

NEWARK, NJ.- A 51-year-old Bloomfield, New Jersey, woman, when sentenced, will be potentially facing spending up to 40 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to federal narcotics offenses.
According to U.S. Attorney Alina Habba, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, Danielle Molinari, 51, of Bloomfield, New Jersey, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Madeline Cox Arleo to Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Opioids; and Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Opioids.
Judge Arleo Schedules Sentencing For November 4, 2025
Following entering her guilty plea, Judge Arleo accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for November 4, 2025, in Federal Court in Newark, New Jersey. At that time, Molinari faces up to 20 years in federal prison on each count, at least three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $1 million. At sentencing, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Molinari’s prior criminal history.
According to the charging documents filed with the District Court, beginning in February 2019 and lasting through March 2023, Molinari participated in a drug conspiracy to obtain unnecessary prescriptions for oxycodone, an opioid pain medication. Once Molinari obtained the oxycodone from a pharmacy, she then sold the pain pills to another individual in exchange for money.
During the course of the conspiracy, Molinari illegally distributed around 4,665 oxycodone prescription pills.
