Maryland Man Shot Dead Early Tuesday Morning In Northwest D.C

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 32-year-old Waldorf, Maryland, man became the latest victim to fall prey to the continuing gun violence plaguing the streets of the Nation’s Capitol City after he was fatally gunned down early Tuesday morning in Northwest, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, just minutes before 4:00 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to a report of gunfire on the 1600 Block of 14th Street in Northwest, D.C.

Police Find Maryland Man Shot Dead On Street

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Henry Crutchfield, 32, of Waldorf, Maryland, unresponsive, having succumbed to a gunshot wound. Mr. Crutchfield was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
