Woman Fatally Gunned Down Tuesday Afternoon On A Southeast D.C. Street

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is continuing the search for the suspects who fatally gunned down a 32-year-old woman Tuesday afternoon in the Anacostia neighborhood in Southeast, D.C., during an apparent neighborhood dispute.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, just shortly after 12:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to reports of a shooting on the 2300 Block of Pitts Place in Southeast, D.C.

Police Find Woman Shot Dead

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a woman, later identified as Tequila Parker, 32, of Southeast, D.C., on the ground, having succumbed to a gunshot wound. Ms. Parker was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

     Although two individuals were detained at the scene, the investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of Ms. Parker.
