Saturday, May 31, 2025, 8:00 P.M. ET. 1 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

HARRISBURG, PA.- A 40-year-old Mexican national, illegally residing in Maryland, is facing up to two years in federal prison after he was apprehended in Franklin County, Pennsylvania earlier this month.

On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, a Federal Grand Jury for the Middle District of Pennsylvania returned an indictment charging Jose Miguel Molina-Echavarria, 40, a Mexican national, illegally residing in Hagerstown, Maryland, with one count of Illegal Reentry into the United States by a Previously Deported Alien.

According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office

According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and charging information unsealed in the indictment, it is alleged that Molina-Echavarria illegally reentered the United States and was found in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, on May 18, 2025, after being removed pursuant to a court order in July 2024, at or near Brownsville, Texas, without first having obtained permission or legal authorization to do so.

Acting U.S. Attorney Gurganus commended the investigative work of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Enforcement Removal Operations, which led to the indictment against Molina-Echavarria.

“The rules of the federal court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
