Police Charge Two Teens In Monday Southwest D.C. Strongarm Robbery

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Monday, June 2, 2025, a 14-year-old Southeast D.C. boy and a 13-year-old Capitol Heights, Maryland boy were taken into custody and charged in connection with a strongarm robbery that occurred early yesterday afternoon in Southwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, June 2, 2025, just minutes after 12:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s First District responded to a report of a robbery on the 200 Block of N Street in Northwest, D.C.
Victim Tells Police He Was Robbed By Two Teens He Knew
Upon arrival, Police Officers encountered a victim who reported that while on N Street, he was approached by two teenage boys whom he knew. One of the boys held him down while the other boy assaulted him and stole his money before the two fled the scene.
While canvassing the area, based on the victim’s description, Police Officers spotted two teenagers matching the description provided. Both boys were stopped and taken into custody.
Based on the Detecitives’ investigation, a 14-year-old Southeast, D.C. boy and a 13-year-old Capitol Heights, Maryland boy were each charged with Robbery by Force. The two were processed on the charges and released to their legal guardian, pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia Family Law Division.
