Police Searching For Gunman In Passaic Shots Fired Incident

PASSAIC, NJ.- Police are continuing their search for the gunman who opened fire late Monday morning in the City of Passaic.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Monday, June 2, 2025, just shortly after 11:30 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Dayton Avenue and President Street in the City of Passaic.

Police Officers Find Shell Casings But No Victim

     Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. Following canvassing the area and contacting area hospitals, Police reported that no one was injured in the shooting.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue the investigation into the circumstances which led up to the shooting.
