Teen Shot Dead Monday Afternoon Inside A Southeast D.C. Residence

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of an 18-year-old Southeast, D.C., man who was found shot dead late Monday afternoon inside a Southeast, D.C. home.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, June 2, 2025, just shortly before 6:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District responded to a report of a shooting inside a residence located on the 1800 Block of Q Street in Southeast, D.C.
Police Officers Find Man Shot Dead In Home
    Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Darrell Anderson, 18, of Southeast, D.C., inside the home, having succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound. Mr. Anderson was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue to search for a suspect and a motive for the shooting.
