Man Fatally Gunned Down Monday Night In Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 33-year-old Washington, D.C., man became the latest victim of the never-ending gun violence plaguing the streets of the Nation’s Capitol City after he was fatally gunned down Monday night behind a residential building in the Trinidad neighborhood of Northeast, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, June 2, 2025, just shortly before 8:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District responded to a report of a shooting in the rear of the 1200 Block of Raum Street in Northeast, D.C.

Police Find Man Shot On The Ground In The Rear Of A Building

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Kalil Jerald Brown, 33, of Northeast, D.C., on the ground, suffering from multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds. Mr. Brown was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Services to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Brown tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
