Asbury Park Man Charged For Robbing Local TD Bank

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ.- On Wednesday, a 48-year-old Asbury Park, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with allegedly robbing the TD Bank located on Parker Road in West Long Branch, New Jersey.
According to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Michael Miranda, 48, of Asbury Park, New Jersey, was criminally charged on Wednesday with one count of second-degree Robbery.
Miranda was processed on the charge and was remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, pending future court proceedings in Monmouth County Superior Court in Freehold, New Jersey.
The charges stem from an incident that unfolded on Monday, June 2, 2025, when shortly before 9:00 a.m., members of the West Long Branch Police Department responded to the TD Bank branch on Parker Road in the Borough of West Long Branch.
Police Officers Learn Man Hands Note To Teller That Demands Cash
Upon arrival, Police Officers were informed by bank employees that an adult male, later identified as Miranda, had entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money. During the robbery, Miranda did not display a weapon. Miranda then took the note back from the teller and fled the bank, having taken $825 in cash.
During a swift-moving joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the West Long Branch Police Department, Detectives and Investigators were able to identify Miranda as the suspect. On Wednesday, Miranda was taken into custody without incident.
