Wednesday, June 11, 2025, 8:30 A.M. ET. 1 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

PADUCAH, KY.- On Friday, June 6, 2025, U.S. Attorney Kyle G. Bumgarner reported that on April 15, 2025, a Federal Grand Jury for the Western District of Kentucky returned an indictment against a Fort Campbell Army Soldier on five counts of federal child exploitation offenses.

The indictment that was returned in Federal Court in Paducah, Kentucky, charges Cameron Lawrence, 23, an Army Soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, with one count of Enticement of a Minor; two counts of Attempted Enticement of a Minor; and two counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children.

On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Lawrence made his initial appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Western District of Kentucky and was ordered detained pending trial.

If Convicted, Lawrence Faces Up To Life In Prison

If convicted at trial, Lawrence faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to life in federal prison. At sentencing, upon a finding of guilty, a U.S. District Court Judge would determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Lawrence’s prior criminal history, if any.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
