Man Fatally Gunned Down Sunday Morning On A Burlington City Street

BURLINGTON CITY, NJ.- Detectives of the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Burlington City Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance for anyone who can provide any information into the shooting death of a 38-year-old Burlington City, New Jersey, man who was fatally gunned down Sunday morning in on a Burlington City street.
According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw, on Sunday, June 8, 2025, just shortly after 5:30 a.m., members of the City of Burlington Police Department responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Earl and Clarkson Streets in the City.
Police Officers Find Mr. Adams Shot Dead On The Ground
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Derrick Adams, 38, of Burlington City, New Jersey, lying on the ground, having succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Adams was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
A post-mortem examination performed by the Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the Cause of Death to be multiple gunshot wounds and the Manner of Death Homicide.
   The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made.
