Former Vineland Man Sentenced For The Aggravated Sexual Assault Of A Toddler

BRIDGETON, NJ.- A 54-year-old former Vineland, New Jersey, man, and convicted child sexual monster will most likely die in prison after being sentenced to nearly five decades in New Jersey State Prison after being convicted for sexually assaulting a two-year-girl during the summer of 2023 in Vineland, New Jersey.
According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, on February 19, 2025, following a trial in Cumberland County Superior Court before Superior Court Judge Niki Arbitter, a jury found Jorge Deleon Diaz, 54, formerly of Vineland, New Jersey, guilty of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; second-degree Sexual Assault; third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and fourth-degree Lewdness.
Evidence Presented At Trial Proved Deleon Diaz Sexually Assaulted The Toddler
During the trial, Assistant Cumberland County Prosecutors Holly Fanelle and Eric McGlynn presented evidence that on July 25, 2025, Deleon Diaz sexually assaulted a two-year-old girl by orally penetrating her. They also presented eyewitness testimony as well as DNA evidence and admissions made by Deleon Diaz during questioning by Detectives of the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and the Vineland Police Department.
Deleon Diaz Sentenced To 50 Years In Prison
On Monday, June 16, 2025, Deleon Diaz appeared in Cumberland County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Arbitter to 50 years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act, which will require Deleon Diaz to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole.
   Judge Arbitter sentenced Deleon Diaz under the Jessica Lunsford Act, requiring him to serve 42 years and six months of his custodial term pursuant to the No Early Release Act. Deleon Diaz, when released in 2065, will be 94 years old. He will also be subject to parole supervision for life and will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law registration requirements.Â
