Jersey City Man Charged With Sexually Molesting Preteen Girl

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Tuesday, following an investigation, a 42-year-old Jersey City, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and charged in connection with the alleged sexual molestation of a preteen girl that occurred in January 2024, inside a Jersey City home.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, Charles Bordeaux, 42, of Jersey City, New Jersey, has been criminally charged with one count of second-degree Sexual Assault by Contact; and one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Bordeaux Taken Into Custody On Tuesday
Bordeaux was taken into custody on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, by Detectives of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit with the assistance of the Hudson County Regional S.W.A.T. at his Jersey City residence. He was processed on the charges and remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, pending future court proceedings in Hudson County Superior Court. At the time of his arrest, Bordeaux had an outstanding warrant from the Jersey City Police Department.
The charges stem from an investigation that determined that Bordeaux allegedly committed sex crimes against an 11-year-old girl in January 2024, inside a Jersey City, New Jersey, apartment. The girl did not Bordeaux, but he was known to an individual who lived in the apartment.
