West New York Man Charged With Sexually Groping Preteen Girl

WEST NEW YORK, NJ.- On Friday, a 20-year-old West New York, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with sexually groping a preteen girl on a West New York street.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Friday, June 20, 2025, just shortly after 6:00 p.m., members of the West New York Police Department responded to a report of a 12-year-old girl being sexually manhandled in the area of Bergenline Avenue near the intersection of 58th Street in West New York.
Police Officers Learn Consigua Soloj Sexually Groped The Child
Upon arrival, Police Officers located the victim, a guardian, and a witness who reported that the child had been groped by an unknown man and provided a description of the suspect. The suspect, identified as Victor Consigua Saloj, 20, of West New York, New Jersey, was located and immediately taken into custody.
Accordingly, Consigua Soloj was formally charged with second-degree Sexual Assault by Contact; and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, pending future court proceedings in Hudson County Superior Court in Jersey City, New Jersey.
