Police Charge Man In Northwest Cash Register Snatch & Grab

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Wednesday, a 25-year-old Northeast, D.C., man was taken into custody and charged in connection with a brazen cash register snatch & grab robbery of a local 14th Street store in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, just shortly after 7:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at a store located on the 3300 Block of 14th Street in the Northwest section of Washington, D.C.
Upon Arrival, Police Officers Learn Suspect Grabbed Money From The Register
Upon arrival, Police Officers were informed by a store employee that a suspect had entered the store, reached over the counter, grabbed money from the cash register, and fled out the front of the store.
Police Apprehend Suspect, Identified As Harrison
Based on the description provided by the store employees, Police Officers quickly apprehended the suspect, identified as Elijah Harrison, 25, of Northeast, D.C., a short distance from the store.
Accordingly, Police Officers formally charged Harrison with one count of Robbery. He was processed on the charge, pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
