Police Charge Man In Northwest D.C. Knife Assault

WASHINGTON, DC.- Last Thursday, a 57-year-old man was taken into custody and charged in connection with threatening an individual in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at around 3:15 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of an altercation on Wisconsin Avenue in Northwest, D.C.
Upon arrival, Police Officers learned that the victim and the suspect were involved in an apparent verbal argument. The argument quickly escalated when the suspect pulled out a knife and pointed it at the victim, and began threatening the victim.
Police Officers Arrest Suspect At The Scene
Following the initial investigation, Police Officers arrested the suspect, identified as Brian Gomillion, 57, with no known address, and formally charged him with one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Gomillion was processed on the charge, pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
