Rutledge Man Sentenced For Producing Child Pornography With Preteen Girl

GREENVILLE, TN.- Last Tuesday, a 28-year-old Rutledge, Tennessee, man, and a child predator learned he will be spending nearly the next two-and-a-half decades in federal prison, after being sentenced for engaging in a two-day sex encounter with a 12-year-old girl and video recording the encounter to produce child pornography.
According to U.S. Attorney Francis M. Hamilton, III, on Tuesday, July 3, 2025, Patrick E. McAneny, Jr., 28, of Rutledge, Tennessee, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Clifton L. Corker to 292 months in federal prison, to be followed by 20 years of supervised release after plaeding guilty to a federal child pornoraphy offense.
McAneny Will Also Be Required As A Sex Offender
In Addition, McAneny will be required to register as a sex offender in the state and national databases and be required to comply with special sex offender conditions while on supervised release.
As part of his negotiated plea filed with the District Court, McAneny pleaded guilty to count one of a federal indictment charging him with Use of a Minor to Engage in Sexual Explicit Conduct for the Purpose of Producing Child Pornography.
According To The Charging Information Filed With The Court
According to the charging information filed in the plea agreement, McAneny engaged in an online relationship with a 12-year-old girl. On February 4, 2024, McAneny traveled from his home in Grainger County, Tennessee, to pick up the child from her home in Hamblen County, Tennessee. The young girl did not have permission to leave her home, and her parents reported her missing the same day.
   From February 4, 2024, through February 6, 2024, while at McAneny’s home, he took photographs and video recorded the young girl and himself engaging in unlawful sexual acts. McAneny sent a video file of the young girl engaged in sexual acts with him to a third party online. The person contacted the Police upon receiving the video file. Based on the call, Police Officers were able to locate the 12-year-old girl at McAneny’s home.
   U.S. Attorney Hamilton commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Hamblen and Grainger County Sheriff’s Offices, which led to the successful prosecution of McAneny.Â
