Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Gunfire In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ. – A 55-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man was hospitalized after being struck by gunfire early Wednesday evening in the City of Paterson, New Jersey.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, shortly after 7:45 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a shooting near the intersection of 12th and Madison Avenues in the City of Paterson.

Police Officers Find Man Shot

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located evidence of a shooting crime scene, and within minutes, Responding Police Officers located a 55-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment for his injury.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the investigation into the circumstances surrounding this shooting.
