Princeton Firefighter Charged With Distributing Child Pornography

PRINCETON, NJ.- On Tuesday, following an internet child pornography investigation, a 30-year-old Princeton, New Jersey, man, employed at Life Time Fitness in Plainsboro, New Jersey, and a volunteer firefighter with the Princeton Fire Department, was taken into custody and charged with allegedly possessing and distributing digital images and video files of child pornography.

     According to Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, Detectives of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an individual in the Mercer County, New Jersey, area who was utilizing the internet to upload digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of prepubescent and pubescent children.

     During the ensuing investigation, Detectives were able to trace the IP address associated with a Princeton, New Jersey, residence. Further, Detectives identified Austin Brock, 30, of Princeton as the resident and the owner of the IP address.

Detectives Arrest Brock During Search Of His Princeton Home

     On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Detectives of the Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, with the assistance of the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, executed a court-authorized search warrant at Brock’s Princeton, New Jersey home. During the search, Detectives and Investigators seized multiple electronic devices. A subsequent examination of the devices uncovered that they contained media files depicting child pornography.

Brock Charged With Multiple Counts Of Child Pornography

     Accordingly, following the execution of the search warrant, Brock was taken into custody without incident and formally charged with second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Child Pornography; and third-degree Possession of Child Pornography. Brock was processed on the charges and, following his initial appearance, was released on a summons complaint pending future court proceedings in Mercer County Superior Court in Trenton, New Jersey.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
